Bleeding in your mouth is always a sign of a serious problem.
If the bleeding occurs when you brush and floss, this is an early sign of periodontal disease and you should contact your dentist for treatment.
If the bleeding is the result of an accident or injury, contact your dentist or go immediately to the
hospital emergency room. Put ice to the area as soon as possible, and
applying pressure to the bleeding area should stop the bleeding. If the
bleeding is inside your mouth bite on a sterile gauze. If the bleeding
persists, bite on a tea bag. The tannic acid in the tea will help stop the
bleeding.
